Scientific intelligence for life-science, nutraceutical and ingredient teams

See where the human evidence supports you, and where it stops.

CALYNTIQ turns human biomedical evidence into a clear answer: what the evidence supports, where that support stops, and what to decide next. Every finding is source-traceable, with conflicting and null results shown alongside supportive ones.

Two services / one engagement at a time

Start with a quick check, or go straight to a decision.

Each engagement uses one service with a fixed scope agreed in writing before work starts. Both rely on public peer-reviewed human studies, registered trials, public product and label information, and any materials you choose to share.

Part 1

Evidence Diagnostic

A short, written, source-traceable check of how well the available human evidence supports a specific product, ingredient or claim, and where that support stops. It tells you which claims to keep, qualify or treat as needing formula-level support, and which evidence gap to address first.

ScopeUp to 3 claims
Timeline3 business days
FormatPDF, ≤ 4 pages
Scope, fixed at start
  • One product or ingredient, one target population, one market
  • Up to 3 priority claims, agreed in writing before work starts
  • One focused literature search to a stated cut-off date (an evidence review, not a systematic review)
You receive
  • Claim-by-claim status: Keep Strong / Keep with Context / Qualify / Needs Formula-Level Support
  • Evidence-fit map: population, exact intervention, dose and duration, and endpoint vs. your product and claim
  • Conflicting or null findings alongside supportive ones
  • Evidence marked direct or indirect, with search cut-off date
  • Top 3 evidence gaps, ranked by decision impact
  • Source register for every study and external fact relied on
  • One consolidated feedback round within 5 business days of delivery
Project fee
USD $595 / fixed scope

Full fee due before work starts. Credited in full toward a Sprint booked within 14 days of delivery.

Ask about a Diagnostic
Delivery guaranteeIf the agreed items are not delivered by the confirmed date (allowing for any pause caused by late inputs), amounts paid are refunded in full. The guarantee covers delivery against the agreed scope, not the direction of the conclusions.

Founding-client fees (Diagnostic USD $295, Sprint USD $950) apply only to organizations contacted in writing before 12 October 2026, as shown by dated outreach. USD fees apply to clients outside mainland China; mainland China engagements receive a separate written quote in RMB. Any bank charges or exchange costs are stated in the project-specific quote.

Evidence-to-Decision Sprint / choose one focus

One Sprint. One commercial decision.

The decision focus is locked at kickoff, and each Sprint covers one. Every Sprint includes the base deliverables plus one add-on that matches your focus.

A / DIFFERENTIATION

Where do we stand against alternatives?

Where the human evidence for your ingredient or product stands against up to 3 named alternatives.

Add-on: comparator summary table
B / CUSTOMER & SALES

How do we answer buyers' questions?

Evidence-based answers to 6 common buyer questions or objections, prepared for your internal team.

Add-on: internal customer Q&A sheet with evidence and claim boundaries (not cleared for external distribution)
C / PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Which formulation choices hold up?

Which formulation, dose, population or endpoint decisions the evidence supports, and what would need new evidence.

Evidence-to-Commercialization

For branded-ingredient suppliers. Deliverables are written for your internal sales, technical and brand-education teams to inform discussions with downstream brand customers. I ask who those customers are and which applications they care about. Outputs are not approved consumer-facing claims or advertising copy.

Evidence standard

Follow each claim to its evidence limit.

Sources are checked for provenance, study design, population, exact intervention, dose and duration, endpoint, and statistical robustness. Ingredient-level evidence is not treated as finished-product evidence, and biomarker change is not treated as clinical benefit.

01 / DEFINE

Fix the question

Record the product or ingredient, exact claims, target population, market and the decision the work will inform.

02 / MATCH

Test the evidence fit

Compare study population, exact intervention, dose, duration and endpoint with your product and claim. Mark each piece of evidence direct or indirect.

03 / DECIDE

Name the gap and next step

Assign a status to each claim, rank the evidence gaps by decision impact, and state what would change the conclusion.

Keep Strong

Direct human evidence fits the claim, population, dose and endpoint.

Keep with Context

Supported, but the claim needs its population, dose or limits stated.

Qualify

Evidence is partial, indirect or mixed; the claim should be narrowed or reworded.

Needs Formula-Level Support

Ingredient evidence exists, but it does not yet support the finished formula.

Status labels describe how well the evidence fits the claim. They are not regulatory or legal approvals. Each report states its search cut-off date; it is an evidence review, not a systematic review.
Sample evidence work

One question, traced to its sources and limits.

This self-initiated NMN brief shows how each finding stays attached to its study context, dose, source and caveat before it informs a decision.

  • What the human outcome actually measured
  • How population and dose shape the finding
  • Where ingredient evidence stops short of a formula-level claim

How an engagement works

Clear start conditions. A confirmed delivery date.

Work starts only when the written Scope, the required inputs and the first payment are all in place. The clock pauses while I wait for anything owed, and I confirm the delivery date in writing.

  1. Tell me the decision

Email the product or ingredient, the claims, the market and the date you need an answer.

  2. Confirm the Scope in writing

Both parties confirm the client's full legal name and jurisdiction, service, deliverables, fee, currency and payment instructions.

  3. Send inputs and payment

Required inputs plus the first payment: the full fee for a Diagnostic, the first instalment for a Sprint.

  4. Receive the deliverables

PDFs sent as email attachments, checked to open before sending. Sprints include a 30-minute readout.

  5. One consolidated revision

Feedback within 5 business days. Factual errors corrected at no charge, with a reply within 2 business days.

Evidence Diagnostic: you provide

  • Product or ingredient name and up to 3 claims
  • Target population and market
  • The decision this will inform and the date you need it
  • Current label or specification sheet
  • Optional: study reports or test results you want considered

Please do not send patient-level or personal data.

Evidence-to-Decision Sprint: you provide

  • Decision owner and who will use the outputs
  • The decision, the date needed, and your target customers or application
  • Label or specification sheet, up to 6 claims, and target market

Common terms / both services

Independent, confidential, decision support only.

The full project-specific Scope is confirmed in writing before any engagement. Liability allocation is addressed in separate written terms before acceptance.

Independence

Conclusions follow the evidence. Negative and null findings are reported, and the client cannot require a particular conclusion.

Confidentiality

Client materials are used only for the project and deleted 90 days after final delivery, or earlier on written request. A secure transfer method is agreed before sensitive files are sent. A mutual NDA is available on request.

Decision support only

Deliverables are for internal scientific and commercial decision support. They are not medical, legal or regulatory advice, a determination that a claim is substantiated or lawful, or approval of advertising, label or marketing copy.

Not included

New laboratory or clinical work; ready-to-publish consumer advertising, label or marketing copy; analysis of unpublished datasets unless agreed in writing; anything outside the agreed scope.

Payment

Commercial payment requests are issued in my own name; bank transfer is preferred. The beneficiary account and payment channel are confirmed before acceptance and remain subject to bank and foreign-exchange procedures.

Feedback, not testimonials

I ask for honest written feedback after delivery, not a review or testimonial. An anonymized method example is used only with your written permission.

About

An independent scientific intelligence project.

CALYNTIQ is the independent scientific intelligence project of Houjun Zhang. I review the human biomedical evidence behind products, ingredients and claims, and turn it into a clear, source-traceable answer for the team that has to make the decision.

Start with one decision

Know what the evidence supports before you decide.

Share the product or ingredient, the claims, your target market, the decision at hand and your deadline. I'll reply with the service that fits, a relevant sample brief, or a proposed written Scope.
